How to measure your finger size

To estimate the correct size of your ring, measure from the thickest part of your finger with a traditional ruler.

To measure your finger size, we recommend using a ring gauge, which you can order from here. Below is a video guide on how to use a ring gauge.

How to use a ring gauge:

  1. Slip one end of the ring gauge into the loop on the other end and pull.
  2. Place the ring gauge on your finger and tighten it until it is tight but comfortable.
  3. Adjust the ring gauge so that you can just barely get it over the joints off your finger. Remember that the ring should go over the joint.
  4. Once you have the ring size right, read the ring size on the ring size scale. The sizing scale is in the US dimensions.
  5. See the corresponding size chart on our website.

    Choosing the right ring size is important to ensure that the ring fits comfortably and is pleasant to wear every day. The ring should be tight enough to stay in place, but loose enough to be easily removed from the finger.     Measuring ring size from your finger

    There are various measuring tools available for measuring ring and finger size, but you can also measure them yourself at home. Below, we present three ways to measure your finger size, with a particular recommendation to use a ring sizer for the best accuracy.

    1. Using a ring sizer

    When measuring the diameter of your finger, it is best to use a measuring tool that corresponds to the width of the ring. You can use a string or a piece of paper cut to size, or order a free ring sizer from our online store. However, remember that the ring must fit over the knuckle. One practical way to measure the thickness of your finger with a traditional measuring tape is to measure the thickest part of your finger. 

     

    Here's how to use a ring sizer:
    1. Thread one end of the ring sizer through the loop at the other end and pull.
    2. Place the ring sizer on your finger and tighten it so that it is snug but comfortable.
    3. Adjust the ring sizer so that it just fits over your knuckles. Remember that the ring should go over your knuckles.

    2. Measuring the thickest part of your finger (diameter)

    If you already have a ring that fits, you can measure its inner diameter with a ruler or a more accurate measuring tool. Place the ring on a flat surface and measure its inner diameter in millimeters. Keep in mind that wide rings may require a slightly larger size than thin rings. Rings that are curved on the inside often fit better, so a smaller size may be sufficient.
