Which is the best of the different types of nose cap attachments?

Have you considered getting a nose bridge but are not sure which type of attachment would suit you best? No problem, here we go through three different types of nose cap attachment and their features. But first, remember that each of our nose shapes is different from others, so what's best for some may not be best for you.

"Ball head"

The ball-head is the most common type of nose stud. Its small ball creates a secure grip on the nose, as the ball is slightly larger than the piercing, so the jewellery does not easily fall off the nose. The ball-ended jewellery is also ideal for new nose-wearers, as it is quick and easy to attach and remove. However, a spherical nose stud can fall off easily, especially if an article of clothing or something else gets caught on it.

L-lock

The L-shaped nosepiece is originally a straight pin that has been bent into an L shape. It is easy to put on the nose and does not stretch the skin. L-shaped jewellery is also easy to remove, as it is simply pulled out of the nose and does not stretch the piercing at all. Like the ball-shaped nose ring, the L-shaped nose ring can fall off if it gets caught on clothes, for example.

Curved

The curved nose piece works on the same principle as the L-lock, but the part that stays in the nose is curved. This makes it fit more snugly in the nose and harder to remove. The curved noseband is slower to remove than the others because it has to be rotated. This also means that it tends to stay in place better and does not fall out by itself, for example when changing clothes.

We often receive queries about why the nose piece does not have an earring-style clasp or why we do not sell magnetic nose pieces, for a very simple reason: you must not put any small iridescent parts in the nose! If they come loose, they can end up in your body and cause serious accidents. So don't wear these in your nose!

The best way to find the best nose jewellery for yourself is certainly to try out different designs and compare them.
